Primarily day shift/ Monday through Friday (subject to a flexible schedule regarding shifts & days – including weekends and holidays)
POSITION SUMMARY
Assist in planning and implementing activities designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual needs of each resident. Assist in maintaining documentation as required by State and Federal regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
1. Certified Nursing Assistant required.
2. Be willing to obtain a Chauffeur’s License and able to be trained to drive the facility’s van or bus with the assistance of the facility.
3. Possess good communication skills and able to type and use a computer.
4. Have a thorough knowledge of various resident activities, familiarity with resident’s limitations and needs.
5. Be able to work in close cooperation with the Life Enrichment Manager, accept and utilize constructive criticism, and display initiative to complete activity related tasks and programs. Be able to work independently and with others.
6. Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
7. CPR Certified or the ability to become CPR certified within 3 months with the assistance of the facility.
8. Ability to lift 50 pounds and able to push, pull, and maneuver residents in wheelchairs.
9. Creative, enthusiastic, energetic and passionate to make a difference in the lives of residents.
10. Experience in leading activity groups, and interacting with residents in a long-term care setting.
11. Assist with meals, including, but not limited to serving and tracking food intake.
