Life Enrichment
It is the mission of the Canal View Life Enrichment Care Partners to provide social interaction for residents in order to stimulate their mental and emotional health through a variety of planned scheduled programs. Life Enrichment Care Partners strive to improve the quality of life of residents, no matter what their physical, emotional, social, or spiritual status is. Programs are designed for each individual resident’s abilities and interests.

It is the Life Enrichment Team’s goal to make every resident’s quality of life as enriching as it possibly can be while following current CDC COVID-19 guidelines. We safely provide a variety of facility outings, such as:
- Shopping
- Restaurants
- Movies
- Museums
- Calumet Theater entertainment
- Outdoor concerts
- Public holiday gatherings
- Sports games
- Sightseeing
- Picnics at the beach and more
Residents are encouraged to be involved with the planning and leading of their group activities. The Life Enrichment Care Partners encourage residents to step out of their comfort zone to try new, safe and exciting activities such as fishing, picnics or casino trips.
Residents can visit Thairpy, a beauty parlor/barber shop with a licensed beautician. Canal View has an outside courtyard with lighting, wheelchair swing, furniture, and flowers for residents to use and enjoy during their family visits. Canal View recognizes the importance of pet therapy currently has 2 cats (Parker and Archie) to interact with.
