Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy gives people the skills for the job of living. With help from our occupational therapists, many residents can achieve or regain a higher level of independence. Services typically include a customized treatment program to improve the ability to perform daily activities.
Occupational therapy may be especially effective with those whose ability to function independently has been impaired by a physical injury or a debilitating condition like heart disease, arthritis, stroke or Parkinson’s disease. The therapist may use adaptive equipment, exercise to increase strength and endurance and counseling to adapt to age-related changes such as decreased energy and vision.
